MerleFest to Announce 2009 Line Up During Radio Special on October 28

WILKESBORO, NC--MerleFest 2009, presented by Lowe’s and slated for April 23-26, will announce the talent line up for the festival during an exclusive one-hour radio special on North Carolina public radio station WNCW  (http://www.wncw.org/, 88.7 FM Spindale, 92.9 Boone, 100.3 Charlotte, 97.3 Greenville) on Tuesday, October 28, at 8:00 p.m. EDT.  John Adair, who handles artist relations for the festival, and Wilkes Community College Public Information Officer Christie Hutchens will join WNCW host Martin Anderson for a look at the artists who will deliver the eclectic mix of traditional, acoustic and roots-oriented sounds that is the hallmark of the event.

Nashville, TN…Bluegrass music’s premier indoor festival is just around the corner!  Industry reps and bluegrass fans alike will want to reserve their tickets as soon as possible for IBMA’s Bluegrass Fan Fest, scheduled for October 3-5, 2008, at the Nashville Convention Center. The star-studded event that wraps up World of Bluegrass Week (Sept. 28-Oct. 5) will present the talents of more than 60 acts on four stages, including the Main Stage, the Roots & Branches Stage, the Masters Workshop Stage and the Grand Master Fiddler Championship.
