VERIZON WIRELESS BAMAJAM MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL OPENS DOORS TO ALABAMA LIBRARIES AS OFFICIAL TICKET OUTLET
Introduces Literary Arts Cross Promotion - Announces Addition of Alabama's Very Own, Randy Owen, As Performer
Enterprise, AL (April 16, 2009)--Ronnie Gilley Entertainment (RGE), producers of the Verizon Wireless BamaJam Music & Arts Festival, has introduced a community literary arts cross promotion program that will benefit all Alabamians in literal education as well as providing them the opportunity to enjoy the best the world has to offer in live entertainment right in their own backyard, their home state of Alabama.
Fifty-four public libraries throughout Alabama are now official ticket outlets for the Verizon Wireless BamaJam Music & Arts Festival. BamaJammers and library visitors can pick-up a coupon inked with a unique promotional code from their favorite public library. The unique public library promotional code entitles the bearer to receive a special discount offered nowhere else.
As part of the state-wide cross promotion, Ronnie Gilley Entertainment will donate $10 for every "library ticket sale" back to the participating library enabling the facility to improve its overall catalog and enhance community literal education opportunities.
"It's really important to us to give back to our community in any way we can," said Ronnie Gilley, CEO of Ronnie Gilley Entertainment. "Reading is a fun and educational form of entertainment and the public libraries are an important element of our community foundation. That's exactly why we included them in this promotion."
A list of the participating public libraries is below. Library patrons can visit the Verizon Wireless BamaJam web page (www.bamajammusicfestival.com), enter the library code and purchase their ticket at the discounted rate.
Apropos to the all-encompassing Alabama public library campaign, RGE has also announced the addition of Alabama's favorite son, Randy Owen, to the star-studded list of Verizon Wireless BamaJam performers at the 2009 event to be held June 4-6, 2009 in Enterprise, AL.
Country Music Hall of Famer, and lead singer of the super group Alabama, Randy Owen, rounds out the roster of the 30-plus Grammy award-winning, platinum selling recording artists set to entertain the hundreds of thousands of enthusiastic BamaJammers over the 3-day/3-night outdoor event. Owen is one of the most accomplished artists in the music industry, with over 73 million albums sold, reaching multi-platinum status, 42 No. 1 singles and over 150 industry awards. He joins Kid Rock, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift, The Black Crowes and more.
"I've spent a lot of time in book stores and libraries since my book came out in November, so I really like the idea of bringing musical arts and our public libraries together," said Owen. "In the meantime, I'm looking forward to seeing the friendly faces, new and old, in the sea of fans in the BamaJam audience."
