Thursday, July 9 - RIDLEY BENT - Halifax born, Alberta bred singer/songwriter Ridley Bent is a crooner, a guitar player and a songwriter and has mastered the art of telling a story. In 2002 he was chosen as a songwriting delegate for the BC Festival of Arts. BUCKLES AND BOOTS is his first release for Open Road Recordings. He has been named as the winner of the Country Song category for the release “Nine Inch Nails” in the 8th Annual Independent Music Awards. He has also been nominated for a Canadian Radio Music Award in the Country music category, for "Heartland Heartbreak". The winners will be announced on March 13 in Toronto as part of Canadian Music Week.
Friday, July 10 – HIGGINS – The Higgins are John, Eileen and Kathleen Higgins; a brother and two sisters from Delta, B.C. Their combination of country roots, rock influences, and a Celtic family background results in music with unique and unmistakable sound. The debut ablum REAL THINGS is in stores now
Saturday, July 11 - DOC WALKER -This Canadian threesome started making music as young teenage boys living in Manitoba. They released their first album CURVE in 2001 followed by EVERYONE ABOARD in 2004 and in the same year won the Canadian Country Music Association Award for Group of the Year. In 2006 they recorded their third and self titled disc in Nashville and in 2007 DOC WALKER won the CCMA award for Album of the Year. Their most recent BEAUTIFUL LIFE in 2008 has garnered a Juno nomination for Country Recording of the Year.
