NASHVILLE, TENNESEE (February 19, 2008) Before Hannah Montana and emerging into a super stardom, an 11-year-old Miley Cyrus was sharing the stage with her country star – and past Country Showdown participant – dad, Billy Ray Cyrus at the 22nd Annual Colgate Country Showdown National Final. Clips from the event – held at EPCOT in Walt Disney World – will air during ABC’s Oscar edition of “The Barbara Walters Special” on Sunday, February 24th at 7 p.m. Eastern.

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE (February 13, 2008) – After being crowned the 2007 Colgate Country Showdown National Winner less than a month ago, Nash Street, will return to Nashville. On Saturday, February 23rd, they will perform and sign autographs at the Country Music Hall of Fame as part of the Museum Store Grand re-opening beginning at 12:30 p.m. Later that night, Nash Street will play two half-hour shows – at 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. – at the world-famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge and end the night with a performance at the Nashville Palace at 7:30 p.m. All events are free and open to the public.

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE (January 24, 2008) – Nash Street, representing radio station WOKK Meridian, Mississippi, has won the 26th Annual Colgate Country Showdown. LeAnn Rimes returned to host the televised event, held at the historic Ryman Auditorium. Nash Street was presented with a $100,000 Grand Prize check and the title, "Best New Act in Country Music".
