Combined, Open Road Recordings’ artists spent 25 weeks at No. 1 on the Canadian Country Sales Chart and 26 weeks in the top-10 on the Top 200 Sales Chart, according to Nielsen Canadian SoundScan. Open Road Recordings recently surpassed one million in total albums scanned in just under six years in operation. Open Road Recordings’ artists also picked up hardware at this year’s award shows, including a JUNO for Country Recording of the Year (Doc Walker, Beautiful Life) and 11 Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA).

Taylor Swift
- Fearless spent 18 weeks at No. 1 and all year in the top-5 on the Canadian Country Sales Chart. Fearless also spent 19 weeks in the top-10 on the Top 200 Sales Chart.
- “You Belong With Me” reached No. 1 on the Country, CHR and Hot AC radio charts and “Love Story” reached No. 1 on both the Country and AC radio charts.
- Fearless was certified 4x Platinum in 2009.
- Taylor Swift won four CMAs including Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year, Female Artist of the Year and Video of the Year. Swift is the youngest artist in history to win the prestigious Entertainer of the Year Award. Swift is also nominated for six American Music Awards (AMAs).
- Taylor’s self-titled debut also holds the Billboard record for longest charting album of the decade on the Top 200 albums chart.
Johnny Reid
- Dance With Me debuted at No. 1 and No. 3 on the Canadian Country Sales Chart and Top 200 respectively. Dance With Me spent six weeks at No. 1 on country sales chart and six weeks in the top-10 on the Top 200 chart. Dance With Me remains in the top-10 on the country sales chart since its release.
- Dance With Me holds Platinum sales certification and was certified Gold just over 48-hours after release.
- Reid won six CCMA Awards including CMT Video of the Year, Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Fans’ Choice, Songwriter of the Year and Top Selling Canadian Album.
- Reid had two top-10 singles on Canadian country radio and two No. 1 videos on CMT.
Reba McEntire
- In Canada, Keep On Loving You debuted at No.1 on the Canadian Country Sales Chart and at No. 4 on the Top 200. Keep On Loving You spent seven consecutive weeks in the top-10 on the country sales chart.
- In the U.S., Reba debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and Top 200 chart, giving Reba the distinction of being country music’s female artist with the most No. 1 albums on Billboard’s country chart.
- “Consider Me Gone,” Reba’s current single, is No. 3 at country radio and climbing.
Doc Walker
- Doc Walker’s last release, Beautiful Life, won Country Recording of the Year at the 2009 JUNO Awards.
- Doc Walker won Group or Duo of the Year at the 2009 CCMA Awards.
- Doc Walker had three top-10 singles on Canadian country radio.
Tara Oram
- Tara Oram won the Rising Star Award at the 2009 CCMA Awards.
- Chasing The Sun won Country Recording of the Year at this year’s East Coast Music Awards. Oram’s debut was also nominated for Country Recording of the Year at the 2009 JUNO Awards.
This year, Open Road Recordings also released albums from The Road Hammers, Adam Gregory, Emerson Drive and Jack Ingram. On December 1, Open Road will release Jimmy Wayne’s Sara Smile.
