DOC WALKER WINS 2009 JUNO AWARD

Open Road Recordings artist, Doc Walker, won the 2009 JUNO Award for Country Recording of the Year for their album, Beautiful Life, on March 28, 2009 in Vancouver, BC. Doc Walker have four previous JUNO Award nominations and won six 2008 Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards including Album of the Year and Fans Choice Award.

Toronto, ON (March 5, 2009) – As revealed last night on ETALK, CTV and The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) confirmed today that 18-time JUNO Award-winner and Grammy Award-winner Bryan Adams, East coast folk rock band Great Big Sea and Kathleen Edwards, a four-time JUNO Award-nominated alternative country singer-songwriter, are the final artists slated to perform live on CTV’s broadcast of THE 2009 JUNO AWARDS on Sunday, March 29. Rocking out with Great Big Sea are two-time JUNO Award-winner Hawksley Workman along with members of the global groove collective and first-time JUNO Award nominees, Eccodek.
