The national search to replace former CMA head Tammy Genovese, who resigned from the company on Dec. 2, will begin with the new CMA Board session, January 2009, Chairman of CMA's Board of Directors Randy Goodman announced today.

Trace Adkins has been cast in Lionsgate's "Tough Trade," the first original series pilot for EPIX,™ the new multi-platform entertainment service from Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B), its Paramount Pictures unit, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM) and Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF) which launched October 30, 2009. "Tough Trade" is a provocative, contemporary one-hour drama about a three-generation Nashville music dynasty whose penchant for drink, debauchery and divorce has left them morally corrupt and on the verge of bankruptcy. Superstar Taylor Swift was surprised backstage during the dress rehearsals for "The 43^rd Annual CMA Awards" when Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn presented her with the 2009 CMA International Artist Achievement Award. Brooks and Dunn were last year's recipients of the Award, which recognizes outstanding achievement by a U.S.-based artist who contributes to the awareness and development of Country Music outside the United States.
